The start of the Arab League meeting at the level of delegates to pay tribute to the late President of the Emirates

Today, Sunday, the meeting of the Arab League Council, at the level of permanent delegates, began to pay tribute to the late President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed, who passed away last Friday.

The delegate of the State of Lebanon to the League of Arab States, Ali Al-Halabi, said that Sheikh Khalifa was a fruit of the fruitful Zayed tree, as he achieved great achievements at all levels, as he contributed to raising his country’s standing, whether at the international or regional levels.

He stressed the strong relationship that brought together the late Emirati president and the State of Lebanon, explaining that he played a major role in supporting Arab countries during his years of work.

And he considered that his departure remains painful, whether for the Emirates or the Arab countries, expressing the condolences of the Lebanese government and people in this painful affliction.
