Mosimane: Algeria’s fans gave us a lesson in sportsmanship and we played a good match

Al-Ahly coach Pitso Mosimane expressed his happiness at reaching the final of the African Champions League after winning the aggregate of the two semi-final matches 6/2.

Mosimane said during the press conference: “Al-Ahly played a good match in Algeria, but ES Setif is a good team and seized the ball in many times of the match. Setif is good at playing football and with a good European coach.“.

He added, “We did not play the return match based on the result of the first leg only, but we came to achieve a positive result, and we have the experience of playing in the continent of Africa, and this helped us to achieve a tie in Algeria.”

He continued, “I look tired today because I have been sick for two days, and therefore I would like to thank Sami Kommas for maintaining the strength of the team, technical training, and his mastery of managing the team in the last two days in Algeria.”

And he added, “The Algerian fans gave us a lesson in sportsmanship and accepted defeat in several clips of the match, and their relationship was good with the Al-Ahly players, and they greeted and applauded the players of the opposing team, despite the departure of their team.”

He concluded: “What happened is a good lesson, as well as her greetings to her team players after the defeat and exit from the semi-finals. As a South African, my country has a good relationship with the state of Algeria as well.”
