Sayed Abdel Hafeez, director of football at Al-Ahly Club, asked the Confederation of African Football against the backdrop of holding the African final in Morocco for the second time in a row.
Abdel Hafeez said, in televised statements after the match: “I do not blame Wydad. I ask the CAF officials why the final is being held in Morocco for the second time in a row, and the time before them was drawn by lottery, and it is possible to stay in Morocco as well.”
Al-Ahly’s football director added: “I do not comment on decisions, or is this up to the club’s management, and there is a meeting that determines the position towards these decisions?”
Al-Ahly club hit a date with Moroccan Wydad Casablanca in the final of the African Champions League this season, after qualifying at the expense of ES Setif, while Moroccan Wydad arrived at the expense of Angolan Petro Atlético.

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) had announced that the final match of the African Champions League will be held at Mohammed V Stadium in Casablanca, Morocco, and the final match of the African Champions League will be held on Monday evening, 30 May.
